Tilspire 1.11.0

The Operator API: let a script or an AI assistant read your site and propose pages and posts that you approve.

tilspire 1.11.0 adds the Operator API: a way for a script or an AI assistant to work with your site, without ever being able to publish on its own.

Read, then propose #

With a credential you issue, an assistant can read your pages, blog posts, menus, media, settings and the database tables tilspire's read policy allows. It can also propose new pages and posts, or edits to existing ones. Every proposal waits under Admin ▸ Drafts to review until a person approves it, and approving saves it through the same code the editor uses.

Off until you want it #

The API is off on every site until an administrator turns it on. A credential needs two-factor sign-in to issue, acts only as the account that issued it, expires, can be tied to the addresses it connects from, and reaches only the resources you grant it.

Made for AI assistants #

Alongside its REST endpoints, tilspire serves an OpenAPI description at /api/v1/openapi and a Model Context Protocol endpoint at /api/v1/mcp, so assistants such as Claude can connect directly. The Connect card on the Operator API page has the addresses for your site.

Now needs PHP 8.1 #

1.11.0 needs PHP 8.1 or later. On an older PHP, the updater says why and leaves your site as it is; upgrade PHP, and the update goes through.

This announcement, and the documentation it links to, were proposed through the Operator API and approved by a person. Read the Operator API guide, or see the changelog.
