Tilspire 1.16.0

Layouts proposed as drafts like everything else, credentials switched on by job, and updates on a screen of their own.

tilspire 1.16.0 lets agents shape your content model as well as your content, makes giving a credential the right access one switch, and gives updates a screen of their own.

Layouts, proposed like everything else #

An Operator API credential or the Assistant can now propose a new Layout, with its groups and fields, or a change to an existing Layout or field, as a draft in the Review queue. A page draft can name a Layout that is still waiting, so an agent can propose a new kind of page and its first page in one go; you approve the Layout first, then the page. A field that already holds content can only become plain text, and nothing still in use can be deleted this way. See Operator API.

Credentials by job #

Instead of ticking each grant, switch on what a credential is for: Write and edit pages, Shape Layouts and fields, Translate pages and menus, Read the site status and more. Each job grants exactly what it needs and only what your own account may use, and modules can add their own. The Grants tab is still there for a single grant.

A calmer Updates page #

When an update is waiting, the Updates page shows the release and what’s in it. Update this site opens the update on its own full screen — Check, Update, Result — with nothing else on it, so you always know where you are and can’t wander off halfway. See Updates.

Worth knowing when you update #

  • Nothing to change on your server: no new scheduled task, and no change for nginx.
  • Existing credentials keep their grants; the jobs show which of them each one already holds.

This announcement and the updated documentation were proposed through the Operator API and approved by a person. See the changelog for everything in the release.
